There have been complaints on the quality of the campus food. Every day, meals are thrown in the garbage uneaten, because it, according to consumers, lacks the quality that they desire. This waste of food is a serious problem for campus sustainability. Another issue is the one-time use items like utensils used in the cafeteria. Wednesday April 14th, we finally put our words into actions and huge mass of Old Westbury students gathered together in different spots on campus to protest our campus’ unsatisfactory shuttle busses. We wanted to improve the shuttle buses – as they are one of few good examples of sustainability on campus. Read more...
